The bright, nearly full moon with the gorgeous blue sky in the background was especially beautiful tonight. It was hard to take my eyes off it, marveling at its mesmerizing beauty while skate/longboarding in the late evening around Edmonds. It was such a treat to gaze at.

Finished watching the BBC miniseries this mornings. Fingersmith is next. Why wasn’t I into stories of female couples in England set during the Victorian era when I was in love with Victoria, my first love until now when I don’t fancy her at all?

Tipping the Velvet reminded me of Victoria or how she had boyfriend while I was in love with her. She was single when I met her but she got into a relationship with her last boyfriend a few days later which broke my heart. About 4 months later, they broke up when he outed her as a lesbian. I thought she was a closet bisexual because she had boyfriends. After they broke up 1-2 months after I walked away to avoid drama and physical cheating from happening, she came back to me crying and begging to be in her life again. I was her closest friend whwo as painfully in love with her before I broke away from her.

Surprisingly, I didn’t want to be more than friends after she wa single plus I was wildly interested in a new girl I befriended the day she came back into my life. She got into her first relationship with some girl from her country a few months later and they were together for over year but under 2 years. I walked away and cast myself out of her life for the second time. About a couple years later, a few months after learning that her girlfriend cheated on her and they broke up, I reached out, got back in touch, and asked to be friends again, but nothing more.

She’s not friends with her previous exes but agreed to be friends again which finally gives me peace. I’m happier. I don’t think we’re meant for each other but I think we’re meant to help each other grow and learn from. We were never supposed to fall in love being so different and incompatible but I’ve learned how to truly love someone unselflishly and what deep, unconditional love is, and giving much whilst not receiving much if anything in return. I hope we will always be tolerant and forgiving towards each other. She helped me figure out what I want in someone even though she lacks those qualities and charcteristics. I learned how to love someone without ever calling nor claiming her as mine. You learn a lot of valuable lessons in suffering when loving someone who doesn’t deserve your love.

Liquor Liberation Day :D

It’s empty and I didn’t drink a single drop. I prefer to serve and observe others.

Five Spice

I’ve been having late dinner at this one pan-Asian restaurant every night (except Sunday when it was closed) since last Saturday (my first time) until tonight, its very last day because the owner and chef is relocating to China for a family emergency.

I’ve sat in the same chair and eaten on the same table every night but ordered different selections from the menu every night. I’ve been the only customer to one of eighteen for an hour, usually the last hour of its operation. I always tip generously.

The chef/owner and two waitresses have come to known me as the well to do, independent, mysterious, quiet/reserved, polite, skate/longboarding (coming in with my helmet and longboard) and loyal patron that they’ve enjoyed serving. I will miss their kindness and food.

“Knowing Your Chart Signature”

There are many ways to weight the *ahem* elements of your chart to find its signature.

My Favorite Way:

1. Count the # of luminaries/planets in each element (fire, earth, air, water).

2. Count the # of luminaries/planets in each mode (cardinal, fixed, mutable).

Pisces (water, mutable)
Leo (fire, fixed)
Taurus = (earth, fixed)
Virgo (earth, mutable)
Cancer (water, cardinal)
Gemini (air, mutable)
Aquarius (air, fixed)
Aries (fire, cardinal)
Scorpio (water, fixed)
Capricorn (earth, cardinal)
Libra (air, cardinal)
Sagittarius (fire, mutable)

3. Combine the element with the highest # and the mode with highest # to find the corresponding sign.

E.g. If your chart’s highest element is Water and highest mode is Fixed, then Scorpio is your chart signature sign because it is the fixed water sign of the zodiac.

Your chart essence and life lessons will tend to be similar to those of Scorpio. Read up on this sign, the house it rules (8th) and the planet(s) that rule Scorpio (Mars & Pluto).

(Optional: If 2 or more elements or modes tie for “most popular” in your chart, then give more weight to the ASC, Sun and Moon.)

Sometimes, your chart signature sign is very different from your Sun sign. When people don’t strongly identify with their Sun sign description, I do this quick calculation to see if that’s the case.

My chart signature is Sagittarius (very different from my Cancer Sun sign!), and I strongly identify with the themes in the picture above (I even had a similar walk-away-from-the-fanatical-condemner moment, then nicknamed “Preacher” as a pre-teen, then a 9th house existential crisis, then a renewed faith as I began to question what I thought I knew, and so on…). I used to believe that I identified more with Sagittarius than Cancer because my Rising Sign is Sagittarius, but this chart weighting method adds another layer to the cake.

What’s your chart signature sign? Have you noticed an affinity with that sign or its themes?

My chart signature is Libra (air + cardinal). I’m very much ruled by Venus and the 7th house it rules: My Moon is in my 7th house. It’s important that I have people and a partner for my emotional well being. I like to think that I’m well tuned to others’ thoughts, feelings, desires, and needs. Sometimes, I mistake them as my own. I don’t know how or what to feel without others to constrast or/and mirror with. My Sun is conjunct my Venus so I’m especially Venusian, albeit one with considerable Scorpio/Plutonian influence. An Aquarian with plenty of Piscean influence is be my ideal, dreamy match.

Ascendant in Scorpio
Sun in Libra in 12th house
Moon in Taurus in 7th
Mercury in Scorpio in 1st
Venus in Libra in 12th
Mars in Libra in 11th
Jupiter in Aries in 6th
Saturn in Sagittarius in 2nd
Uranus in Sagittarius in 2nd
Neptune in Capricorn in 3rd
Pluto in Scorpio in 1st

air: 3
fire: 3
water: 3

mutable: 2

I’m about to go buy my second pair of Nike Janoskis. They are the only shoe worth buying - I did my hardest skating on a pair of these and they lasted literally five times longer than a pair of Vans, without sacrificing any board feel. Quality.

Stocked up on gauze and Tegaderm transparent dressing courtesy of the O.R.

I’m buying knee pads and longboarding gloves tomorrow.

I haven’t stop skate/longboarding every day. I love it too much, especially cruising downhill and carving.

One of the photos is a picture I took of the scrape and bruising (which looks more colourful and uglier: more red and blue) after taking a shower after work.

First longboard boo-boo that I got from falling down on my left knee while going on an extremely sharp turn downhill while incoming traffic was approaching. I was wearing relaxed, loose, boyfriend fit Calvin Klein jeans. I should have worn my thicker and skinny fit Dylan George jeans because I didn’t get a scrape when I fell and skidded on my right knee when I fell one time I had them on. Better yet, I should have purchased and worn some knee pads (and longboarding gloves to help with turning).

It’s just a quarter sized scrape with bruise and swelling in the elevated area of tender skin that surrounds the scrape. It stings a bit. I placed gauze over it with Tegaderm to hold it in place because a regular bandaid was too small to cover it after cleaning it gently with soap and water.

I kept skateboarding for about 30 more minutes after falling down.

Some people splurge money on strippers

I just tip generously while eating out and am a repeat customer. I appreciate it when a woman caters to me well with prompt and attentive service and bringing me food that satisfies my hunger. I found this intimate, cozy, family run Asian restaurant with a full bar walking/skate/longboarding distance from the house. She’s middle aged and probably married but I’m in love with her. I need to marry someone like her ASAP. I can bring home the bacon and give my spouse as much freedom as she wants and spoil her in material things and love as long as I get at least home cooked meal every day I come home. I would marry for food. Everything else is just a bonus.

Unbelievable transits

Comments on video by fellow astrologers were interesting

Ron Paul and Warren G. Harding each have what is known in astrology as a “Rama Chart” (i.e., 4 or more planets in their own or exalted signs). In Ron Paul’s case, he has Sun in Leo, Moon in Taurus, Mercury in Virgo and Mars in Scorpio. President Harding had Moon in Taurus, Venus in Libra, Mars in Scorpio and Jupiter in Sagittarius. The hallmarks of such individual are that they are “destined” to “rise up.” Neither Obama nor Romney share this trait. Will Ron Paul follow in Harding’s footsteps and win the Republican nomination at a historic brokered national convention and the presidency in the general election? If the stars have their way, perhaps.

But the stars do not compel
Nothing is destined
The stars give a map of possibilities and timing of events that are variable and any  transits can be mitigated by the mind directed to making the best possibilities emerge from the unseen parallels where many variables exist.

This is the beauty of astrology. It shows where energies are at a given time (transits)
so we can direct those energies to bring forth the best outcome possible.

We need his time of birth to get a more accurate chart (with rising sign and houses to see where his planets lie.)
